Sunrise Survey

Sunrise Survey, art by Bryan Crowson. Today I asked for suggestions on what to draw, and my artist friend Janet Hinton said to go outside and draw what I saw. That struck me as wise, but exhausting. So I did the next best thing -- or better thing -- by instead drawing what my friend Cynde Levin Baumann sees on her morning run, which tends to be more spectacular. This is painted with oil pastels.
